About The Position

Guidepost Montessori is hiring an Assistant Guide for its South Beaverton school. The Assistant Guide supports a mixed-age Montessori classroom serving infants, toddlers, and children ages 3–6, helping create a calm, engaging environment where children can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. The role includes preparing intentional learning spaces and supporting individualized and small-group activities with respect, patience, and care. The Assistant Guide helps children develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning, while building relationships with families and collaborating with Lead Guides and other team members.

Requirements

Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting.
A positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
A genuine love for working with young children.
Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach; prior Montessori experience is welcome but not required.
