Role Overview: The TMS Technician provides direct care to patients undergoing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) services. This position will offer the opportunity to provide patient care with a breakthrough treatment modality for the treatment of depression. We are seeking an individual that will be trained to administer in office therapeutic treatments under the direction of our Physician. This individual’s primary responsibility will be to administer and manage the specific clinical services, interact regularly with patients, and additional office administrative tasks when time provides.

Requirements

Two or more years of related experience within a healthcare setting
BLS and CPR certified
Proficient in Microsoft office with exposure to some data management software
Experience with operating a medical/mechanical device
Strong communication skills and detailed oriented
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
Demonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culture

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred

Responsibilities

Engage with patients to discuss Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) procedures, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Handle TMS-related calls from patients, providing comprehensive information and assistance.
Utilize standard protocols to assess the eligibility of new patients for TMS and schedule the initial consultation with the TMS provider based on the patient's preferred location.
Contact patients and answer incoming patient calls to schedule appointments.
Address inquiries related to payment and facilitate payment collections.
Engage with patients to discuss and resolve outstanding balances, facilitating prompt payments.
Review, update, and organize insurance information following established protocols.
Gather patient information, document, submit and manage prior authorizations for patients seeking treatment.
Ensure that all requisite new patient paperwork is completed accurately and uploaded to the patient's chart prior to the scheduled appointment.
Send and accept patient forms as needed through the Electronic Health Record.
Coordinate care with internal and external clinicians.
Exercise good judgement and professionalism.
Utilize high tech TMS equipment (training provided) as a member of the care team.
Engage with the patient during treatment sessions, ensuring that the patient stays comfortable and alert.
Ensure the TMS chair is clean and disinfected/wiped down between patients.
Provide an efficient experience for patients by maintaining a well-organized clinic prep and workflow.
Occasional travel within the assigned region may be required to provide coverage as needed.
Travel within region to market TMS services within the community including to other mental health providers, community centers and hospital systems.
