About The Position

TitleWave Real Estate Solutions, a division of Fidelity National Financial (FNF), is seeking a residential Title Examiner to join our Wisconsin team. In this fulltime role, you are responsible for delivering accurate, professional title reports while maintaining a high level of productivity. This role requires evaluating risk and liabilities in accordance with policy provisions and providing final title products based on verified facts and documentation. Must have Wisconsin search/examine experience.

Requirements

• 3+ years of title search and exam experience, predominantly in Wisconsin and general Title industry knowledge.
• Detail-oriented and customer service focused with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Familiar with industry concepts, practices, procedures and associated risks and liabilities.
• Proficient computer skills, including moderate to advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft applications and other industry-related software required to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Examine title orders in accordance with company guidelines to determine title conditions by analyzing mortgages, liens, judgments, and other pertinent records to verify ownership, legal restrictions, and legal descriptions.
• Review final products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Clearly explain chain of title, exceptions, and requirements to customers and managers.
• Identify and assess risks and liabilities that may jeopardize the Company and escalate, as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate and comprehensive title search abstracts and title reports in accordance with Company policies and examining procedures.
• Request and track documentation or corrective action necessary to resolve deficiencies in title search packages prior to release.
• Maintain compliance with Company policies, procedures and good housekeeping practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
