About The Position

We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a Title Officer opportunity with one of our clients. The Title Officer will preliminary title opinion obtained by an attorney, analyze, and evaluate records for residential properties and entities to ensure that the title meets our guidelines to issue a title commitment on matters that may affect its sale or use. The findings of a title search and examination are needed to issue title insurance for parties acquiring an interest in said properties. The Title Officer will be responsible for below specific duties. Your specific duties will include: Examine search documents to determine title clearance requirements, exceptions, legal descriptions, and vested ownership for title commitments. Evaluate documents to determine property insurability and identify insured parties for each transaction. Create, revise, and verify title commitments to ensure rates and coverage align with client instructions and underwriting guidelines. Prioritize workflow to ensure high-quality title products are completed efficiently and meet deadline expectations. Work closely with office staff, supervisors, and clients to resolve coverage issues, defects, or potential closing delays. Deliver exceptional service to meet and exceed the needs of our attorney clients, collaborating with team members whenever needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of title experience and a valid Title Producer's License.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong research, investigative, and documentation skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and professional telephone etiquette; ability to collaborate productively with peers, management, and clients.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios) and basic geometry principles to interpret legal descriptions and vesting.
