About The Position

A Title Insurance Processor is responsible for managing the administrative and documentation aspects of a real estate transaction to ensure a title insurance policy can be issued accurately and on time. They work closely with title examiners, escrow officers, lenders, real estate agents, and attorneys to facilitate a smooth closing process.

Requirements

• Knowledge of real estate transactions, title insurance, and escrow procedures.
• Familiarity with title production software Landtech/Accuair.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple files and meet strict deadlines.
• Understanding of state and federal real estate regulations and lender requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing purchase contracts, lender instructions, and title commitments to identify closing requirements.
• Ordering and reviewing documents such as payoffs, surveys, tax certificates, homeowners association information, and municipal lien searches.
• Preparing and organizing closing files, ensuring all required documents are complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and state regulations.
• Coordinating with lenders, buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and attorneys to obtain missing information and resolve issues before closing.
• Verifying legal descriptions, ownership information, and title requirements based on the title examination.
• Assisting in clearing title defects by obtaining releases, affidavits, corrective documents, or other required documentation.
• Preparing final title insurance policies after closing and ensuring all recording requirements are met.
• Maintaining accurate records, tracking deadlines, and updating transaction status in title software systems.
• Providing excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and communicating transaction updates to all parties.
