About The Position

Saint Adalbert's School is seeking a Title I Summer School Teacher to provide intervention support to students identified as at risk of failing or who are failing in reading, language arts, and math. This role involves assisting colleagues in curriculum and instruction implementation, managing and analyzing school data, and working with the Title I Team/Coordinator to ensure effective instruction and improve student skills in reading, language arts, writing, math, problem-solving, and communication. The teacher will work directly with identified Title I students, demonstrating exemplary classroom literacy practices and knowledge of balanced literacy and essential reading and math elements. This position also aims to strengthen family and school ties by engaging families in literacy initiatives. Additional duties may be assigned according to Title I guidelines. A requirement for this role is training in the Science of Reading, with at least 25 hours from Early Literacy Endorsement Verified Professional Development Programs.

  • Certified Title I Summer School Teacher
  • Trained in Science of Reading (at least 25 hours from the Early Literacy Endorsement Verified Professional Development Programs)

Responsibilities

  • Provides intervention support to Title I identified students at risk of failing or who are failing in reading, language arts, and math.
  • Assists and supports colleagues in the implementation of curriculum and instruction at the building level.
  • Works with the Title I Team/Coordinator to manage, analyze and review the school’s data, reading language arts, and math program to ensure the highest level of effective instruction and to improve students’ reading, language arts, writing, math, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Works directly with identified Title I students that are failing or at risk of failing providing intervention support 100% of the teaching day.
  • Demonstrates and models exemplary classroom literacy practices and knowledge of balanced literacy and essential elements of reading and math.
  • Provides leadership for Reading/Language Arts & Math literacy across the school community.
  • Helps strengthen family and school ties by engaging families in reading and math literacy.
  • Other duties as assigned based on the guidelines of Title I.
