About The Position

Our Lady of Hungary School is seeking a Title I Summer School Instructional Assistant for a non-public school setting. The position runs from June 8th to June 22nd, with a total of 4 teacher hours per day. The instructional assistant will work under the direct supervision of a certified teacher, who will plan instructional activities and evaluate student progress. The role involves close physical proximity to the teacher and 100% of the time will be dedicated to providing small group instruction to Title I identified students who are at risk of failing or are failing in reading, language arts, and math.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and application of the elements of effective instruction to assist teaching and learning as developed by the certified staff.
• Provides assistance to certified teacher in collecting data for needs assessment, student selection, desired outcomes, and evaluation as requested.
• Maintains adequate records on student work, personal data and test scores as required by certified teacher.
• Works cooperatively with student services staff members and/or outside agencies as required.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
