About The Position

The Title I Specialized Programs Teacher Assistant III supports the Autism - Primary program. The position is a 9-month assignment with 7 hours listed. Applicants must provide the required education, experience, certification, and application documents. External applicants must attach the required documents and complete a full three-year work history, including periods of unemployment, in the “Experience and Credential” section of the application.

Requirements

• High school graduation or an equivalent credential, such as a GED or foreign equivalency.
• At least 48 credit hours from an accredited college or university, or a passing score on the Educational Testing Service (ETS) ParaPro assessment.
• Experience working with children.
• Current CPR/AED certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or a similar organization; certification must be maintained for the duration of the assignment.
• CPR/AED certification training must be in person and include a hands-on component; online courses are not accepted.
• Upload copies of the front and back of the CPR/AED certificate with the application.
• Submit a high school transcript or equivalent credential, applicable college transcripts or a passing ETS ParaPro score, a current CPR/AED certificate, and documented evidence of training and experience supporting the qualifications.
• External applicants must complete a full three-year work history, including periods of unemployment, in the “Experience and Credential” section of the application.

Nice To Haves

• Signing abilities, for the hearing-impaired program.
• One year of experience working with special education children.
