About The Position

The Title I Specialized Programs Teacher Assistant III supports the Autism - Primary program at Thiriot ES. The position is listed for 9 months and 7 hours. Candidates must meet the education, experience, and CPR/AED certification requirements and provide the listed documents with their application. External applicants must complete a full three-year work history, including periods of unemployment, in the “Experience and Credential” section.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent, such as a GED or foreign equivalency.
• At least 48 credit hours from an accredited college or university, or a passing score on the ETS ParaPro assessment.
• Experience working with children.
• Current CPR/AED certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or a similar organization; certification must be maintained throughout the assignment.
• CPR/AED training must be in person and include a hands-on component; online courses are not accepted.
• Upload copies of the front and back of the CPR/AED certificate with the application.
• Provide a high school transcript or equivalent documentation.
• Provide college transcripts, if applicable, or a copy of a passing ETS ParaPro assessment score.
• Provide specific documented evidence of training and experience supporting the qualifications.
• External applicants must complete a full three-year work history, including periods of unemployment, in the application’s “Experience and Credential” section.

Nice To Haves

• Signing abilities for the hearing-impaired program.
• One year of experience working with special education children.
