About The Position
Essex North Shore is seeking a Title I Reading Specialist. The Title I Reading Specialist will work directly with students in small groups or one-on-one, assess reading progress, and design targeted intervention programs to boost literacy skills.
Requirements
- CORI, SAFIS, and SORI required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
- Three to five years experience as a classroom educator
- DESE licensure in an academic content area
- DESE licensure as a Reading Specialist
- Knowledgeable regarding the essential components of literacy and various literacy assessments, including O-G and/or Wilson
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse educators, families, and community members
- Ability to manage multiple students and priorities
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual preferred
