About The Position

The Title I Nonpublic Academic Interventionist (Reading & Mathematics) provides supplemental reading and mathematics intervention to eligible students attending participating nonpublic schools within the Ritenour School District attendance boundaries. The interventionist is responsible for implementing Ritenour's federally funded Title I program in compliance with all applicable federal and state requirements.

Requirements

  • Missouri Teaching Certification in Elementary Education, Special Education, Reading, Mathematics, or another closely related certification
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based literacy and mathematics instruction
  • Ability to analyze assessment data and develop targeted intervention plans
  • Skill in differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently across multiple school sites
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
  • Missouri Teaching Certification
  • Experience providing academic intervention in reading and/or mathematics
  • Training in the Science of Reading
  • Knowledge of evidence-based reading and mathematics intervention practices
  • Experience with progress monitoring and diagnostic assessments
  • Familiarity with Title I programs and services
  • Strong instructional and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

  • Traveling between participating nonpublic schools within the district.
  • Providing targeted, evidence-based instruction through small-group and one-on-one reading and mathematics intervention.
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting instruction based on assessment data.
  • Collaborating with district staff and nonpublic school personnel.
  • Maintaining required Title I documentation, lesson plans, attendance, and progress-monitoring records.
  • Provide supplemental reading and mathematics intervention to eligible Title I students in participating nonpublic schools.
  • Deliver explicit, systematic instruction aligned to students' identified academic needs.
  • Provide intervention in one or more of the following areas: Foundational Reading Skills, Reading Comprehension, Writing Support (when appropriate), Number Sense, Mathematical Reasoning, Problem Solving, Foundational Mathematics Skills.
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional practices aligned with district-approved intervention programs.
  • Administer district-approved assessments and progress monitoring tools.
  • Develop individualized intervention plans based on student assessment data.
  • Maintain accurate student records, attendance logs, lesson plans, and progress-monitoring documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Coordinator of Curriculum and Federal Programs regarding student progress and instructional planning.
  • Work cooperatively with participating nonpublic school staff while maintaining the independence of the Title I program.
  • Participate in required district professional learning and Title I meetings.
  • Ensure all Title I services remain supplemental, secular, neutral, and non-ideological.

Benefits

  • $25.00 per hour for direct Title I reading and/or mathematics intervention services provided to eligible students
  • Provided one paid hour of planning for every one hour of direct tutoring provided.
  • Planning time for lesson preparation, progress monitoring, student documentation, and other responsibilities related to Title I services is compensated at $25.00 per hour
  • Mileage reimbursement for travel between assigned nonpublic schools will be provided in accordance with Ritenour School District policy.
