About The Position

This is a 1.0 FTE continuing contract position for a Title I/LAP Teacher at Lynnwood Elementary that begins with the 2026-27 school year. A Title I/LAP Teacher manages the building Title I and/or LAP program which includes the following: Coordinate literacy assessments to students specified by the district, analyzing and reporting data, grouping and scheduling intervention groups, delivering structured literacy intervention using specified curriculum, progress monitoring students and on-going communication with classroom teachers and families. Ensure state and federal requirements for Title I and LAP are met throughout the school year. Required participation in literacy intervention trainings. LETRS training will be required for all new employees unless evidence can be provided of completed LETRS or equivalent training aligned with the science of reading. Preference will be given to candidates that currently have an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement. SIOP training and GLAD training offered by the Multilingual Education Department will be required for all new employees unless they can show evidence of having completed SIOP and GLAD training previously. Training will need to be completed within the first year of employment.

Requirements

  • Washington State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Elementary Education, or the ability to obtain one prior to the position start date
  • LETRS training will be required for all new employees unless evidence can be provided of completed LETRS or equivalent training aligned with the science of reading
  • SIOP training and GLAD training offered by the Multilingual Education Department will be required for all new employees unless they can show evidence of having completed SIOP and GLAD training previously
