About The Position

The Title Specialist will be responsible for the daily processing of vehicle titles, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations and company policies. This role involves providing customer support, resolving title-related issues, maintaining accurate records, and interacting with a diverse customer base. The Title Specialist will analyze vehicle title documents, provide excellent customer service, research and resolve title discrepancies, and communicate effectively with customers, the DMV, and sellers. Maintaining title bin filing and performing other assigned duties are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Two years of customer service experience.
  • One year of vehicle title processing experience.
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office Word / Suite).
  • Basic 10 Key proficiency.
  • Excellent customer service skills and attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to view a computer screen for a significant portion of the work day.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Numeric and alphabetic filing skills are mandatory.
  • Must be able to work overtime schedule as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Title knowledge of local and surrounding states is preferred.
  • Notary license preferred.
  • Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Daily processing of vehicle titles.
  • Answering questions and providing support to customers regarding title processing.
  • Facilitating the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Maintaining file documentation and updating customers on file status.
  • Maintaining accurate records of vehicle titling within company guidelines.
  • Interacting with all levels of customers, including the general public and high-level managers.
  • Efficiently and accurately identifying and analyzing vehicle title/ownership documents.
  • Providing excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Processing vehicle titles in accordance with state guidelines.
  • Researching missing and/or incorrect title paperwork and determining proper resolution.
  • Communicating with customers via email or verbally to handle title issues.
  • Building relationships and developing a professional rapport with DMV and sellers.
  • Maintaining title bin filing as necessary.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
