We are committed to delivering an unparalleled experience through our people, processes, and technology. The Title Specialist will be responsible for the daily processing of vehicle titles. This role requires a thorough understanding of state and local title processing regulations and Copart policies to answer questions, provide support, and facilitate a positive customer experience by offering solutions. The Title Specialist will also maintain file documentation, update customers on file status, and ensure accurate records of vehicle titling within company guidelines. This position involves significant face-to-face and vocal interaction with a diverse customer base, from the general public to high-level managers. Key duties include efficiently and accurately identifying and analyzing vehicle title/ownership documents, providing excellent customer service, processing vehicle titles in accordance with state guidelines, researching and resolving missing or incorrect title paperwork, communicating with customers regarding title issues, and building relationships with the DMV and sellers. Maintaining title bin filing and performing other assigned duties are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • HS diploma
  • Two years customer service experience
  • One year vehicle title processing
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office Word / Suite)
  • Typing speed 45 words per minute
  • Basic 10 Key proficiency
  • Excellent customer service skills and attitude
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision
  • Must be able to view a computer screen for a significant portion of the work day
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Numeric and alphabetic filing skills are mandatory

Nice To Haves

  • Title knowledge of local and surrounding states is preferred
  • Notary license preferred
  • Bilingual a plus

Responsibilities

  • Daily processing of vehicle titles.
  • Answering questions and providing support related to title processing.
  • Facilitating the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Maintaining file documentation.
  • Updating customers on file status.
  • Maintaining accurate records of vehicle titling within company guidelines.
  • Interacting with customers at all levels, both in person and verbally.
  • Efficiently and accurately identifying/analyzing vehicle title/ownership documents within company guidelines.
  • Providing excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Processing vehicle titles in accordance with state guidelines.
  • Researching missing and/or incorrect title paperwork and determining proper resolution in a timely manner.
  • Communicating with customers via email or verbally to handle title issues daily.
  • Building relationships and developing a professional rapport with DMV and sellers.
  • Maintaining title bin filing as necessary.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Working overtime schedule as needed.
  • Working occasional overtime as needed.
