About The Position

Develop, implement, and maintain the Title 31 Compliance program to ensure compliance with applicable Federal and State gaming regulations. Responsible for understanding and complying with Title 31, Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and requirements. Oversee the daily Title 31 compliance operation to include but not limited to all reporting requirements and leading the Title 31 program.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and transport materials and/or equipment on a frequent basis up to 10 pounds.

  • Must be able to read, write, and effectively communicate with all guests and team members in a positive and professional manner.
  • Must be able to follow both verbal and written directions.
  • Must be able to travel to other CDS properties, or any other events necessary for this specific role.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as invoices and statements.

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Three (3) years’ Title 31 Compliance experience.
  • Must be able to use a 10-key machine by touch.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software, especially word processing and spreadsheets, as well as accounting databases and software.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening in accordance with company policy.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to obtain, and retain a valid gaming license/background check.

Responsibilities

  • In charge of development of internal control systems and policies and procedures for the Casino Del Sol Resort.
  • Investigates problems regarding suspicious activities for discussion and filing determination with the Title 31 Committee.
  • Reviews, monitors, and ensures compliance with applicable gaming and IRS regulations utilizing available data.
  • Provide resources and point of contact for all audits to assess adherence to TICS and IRS regulations.
  • Analyzes audit results, recommends, and/or implements changes, as directed or applicable.
  • Implements changes to policies, procedures, and regulations regarding Title 31.
  • Review the filings of all taxable gaming proceeds.
  • Review for accuracy the Casino Del Sol Resort’s “guest” annual gaming reports.
  • Review the regularly scheduled reports related to Casino Del Sol Resort compliance with gaming and IRS regulations.
  • Primary point of contact and communication to internal and external auditors as well as representatives of the Tribal Government and Gaming Office, as needed.
  • Review and edit annual training materials in compliance subject areas such as Title 31.
  • Maintains communication with Casino Del Sol Resort staff, Title 31 Committee and the Tribal Gaming Office.
  • Review all Suspicious Activity Reports and Currency Transaction Reports, including OFAC.
  • Reviews Multiple Transaction Logs, MILs and W2G’s for completeness.
  • Collaborates with IT personnel in the monitoring and accountability of all Key Watch system processes.
  • Provides training and guidance on a regular basis to Title 31 Compliance Assistant.
  • Responsible for the Quarterly Presentation to Title 31 Committee.
  • Review and maintain know your customer files on a monthly basis.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
