About The Position

Sierra Donor Services - New Mexico is offering a unique opportunity to start your healthcare career as a Tissue Recovery Technician. This role involves participating in the recovery, packaging, and labeling of human tissue. The recovery process includes cleaning and setting up the recovery room, surgical prep of the donor, aseptic recovery of human tissue, restoration of the donor, and decontamination of the recovery room and instruments. This position provides paid, hands-on training with no prior medical experience required, serving as a stepping stone to a long-term career in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the recovery, packaging, and labeling of human tissue.
• Clean and set up the recovery room.
• Perform surgical prep of the donor.
• Conduct aseptic recovery of human tissue.
• Restore the donor.
• Decontaminate the recovery room and instruments.
