The Tissue Recovery Coordinator (Eye Team) is responsible for performing aseptic recovery of tissue, including eyes, bones, ligaments, tendons, heart valves, saphenous vessels, and skin, according to departmental policies and procedures. This role involves lifting, positioning, and transporting donors, utilizing Surgical Sterile Technique, collecting and labeling blood samples, maintaining donor and tissue records, and managing biohazard materials. The position requires travel and functioning effectively in unfamiliar hospital environments, with the ability to push, pull, move heavy objects, and lift/carry a minimum of 50 lbs. Good manual dexterity, visual acuity, and the ability to endure long periods of standing and walking are also necessary.
