About The Position

Evergen is hiring a Tissue Processing Tech at its West Lafayette, Indiana facility. The role offers a structured career path from entry-level to skilled technician. New employees receive hands-on, one-on-one training with a dedicated trainer before gradually transitioning to work with minimal supervision. Technicians develop skills in their assigned areas, learn company rules and regulations, and build confidence reading and following work instructions. The work is performed in the Dry Production area, in a clean room or controlled environment, and involves individual tasks as well as teamwork.

Team members arrive before their shift to change into required personal protective equipment (PPE), including shoe covers, hair nets, face masks, and frocks or gowns. They then attend a morning meeting to review daily tasks and priorities. The position pays $17–$20 per hour based on experience and is eligible for an annual bonus of $2,500. The work schedule is a 9/80 schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; every other Friday off, with working Fridays from 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Each shift includes one 30-minute unpaid lunch and two 15-minute paid breaks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated reliability, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn.
• Ability to move or lift objects weighing 10–50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform tissue processing activities in accordance with work instructions to achieve high quality and yield.
• Accurately process tissue products and meet production schedules.
• Work safely, wear appropriate PPE, and use aseptic techniques in a clean room or controlled environment.
• Perform assigned individual tasks and contribute to team efforts.
• Properly dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Complete paperwork accurately and perform data entry in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
• Support key annual operations performance metrics.
• Propose and implement continuous-improvement ideas.
• Communicate and act honestly, positively, and considerately.
