About The Position

The Tire Test Supervisor supports the Development and Quality Assurance departments by leading technicians in conducting testing accurately and reliably, to help ensure product quality meets or exceeds standards in the intended market. The role provides overall leadership, direction, coordination, and evaluation for 16 technicians, following organizational policies and applicable laws. On-call responsibilities are required. The schedule is Monday through Friday, eight-hour day shifts.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is desired; alternatively, at least three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excel proficiency is required.
• Good math, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills, and mechanical aptitude are desired.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to deal with varied concrete variables where limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-form instructions.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, coordinate, and evaluate 16 technicians.
• Interview, hire, and train employees.
• Plan, assign, and direct work.
• Appraise employee performance; coach, reward, and counsel employees.
• Address complaints and resolve problems.
• Support Development and Quality Assurance by leading technicians in required testing to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Meet on-call responsibilities.
