About The Position

The Tire Test Lab Associate I is responsible for performing laboratory tire testing to ensure product compliance, quality, and performance standards are met. This position executes standardized testing methods, collects and analyzes test data, and accurately documents results to support product validation and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and capable of working independently while following established testing procedures and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 Years of manufacturing or warehouse experience
  • Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports and maintain electronic records.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree, vocational certificate, or technical training in Automotive Technology, Tire Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of tire industry, automotive maintenance, alignment, or related technical experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow standardized testing procedures and accurately document results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tire testing in accordance with established procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Execute standardized test methods and accurately collect, analyze, and report test data.
  • Assist with preparing, coordinating, and conducting tire performance tests.
  • Process test results and generate reports for engineering and management review.
  • Maintain and update online databases containing tire testing and performance data.
  • Ensure all testing equipment is operated safely and according to departmental procedures.
  • Follow all department safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), MSDS/SDS requirements, and emergency action procedures.
  • Review work instructions, testing procedures, and documentation for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Identify testing irregularities, equipment concerns, or deviations from standard procedures and communicate findings to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all testing activities.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications and other software to document and communicate test results.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties of equal or lesser complexity as assigned by management.
