About The Position

The Tire Technician assists members in selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role also includes providing service at the tire desk, keeping the tire bay and waiting area clean and organized, and supporting club operations as assigned. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, rotate, and balance tires; properly install and repair tires.
• Assist members with selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying vehicle tire sizes.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area; merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory and use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
• Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks as needed, if certified under DOT requirements.
• Follow safety, cleanliness, club, and tire bay equipment policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
