About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a full-time Tire Sales and Installation professional to join their team. This role involves assisting members with tire selection and purchases, performing proper installation and repair, managing documentation, and adhering to tire bay policies. The position requires a commitment to providing excellent member service, maintaining a safe and positive environment, and working collaboratively with the team to achieve club standards. Team members are expected to execute job functions with honesty, integrity, and a focus on member needs, while also embracing inclusion and diversity. The role contributes to delivering GOLD Member Standards daily, ensuring a grand opening look, executing promotional plans, and maintaining a clean and organized club. Understanding department performance reporting and its impact on the business is also key.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills required.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AI tools, including ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Assisting members in the selection and purchase of tires, including verifying sizes for vehicles.
• Proper installation of tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
• Properly disposing of tires and ensuring propane tanks are filled per club policy.
• Maintaining a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
• Merchandising tire displays and automotive products.
• Providing knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
• Coordinating with Home Office regarding member tire needs.
• Maintaining an accurate and complete supply inventory.
• Utilizing available special-order tire programs.
• Complying with safety and cleanliness standards and properly utilizing tire bay equipment.
• Filling propane tanks as needed if certified per DOT requirements.
• Ensuring all tire bay scheduling data and documentation is completed for sales and service orders.
• Maintaining all club policies and procedures.
• Performing other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Carrying out job functions and responsibilities as assigned.
• Supporting the application of club policies, procedures and compliance.
• Acting with honesty and integrity and leading with the member in mind to address any and all concerns and to escalate any concerns, as appropriate.
