About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a full-time Tire Sales and Installation professional to join their team. This role involves assisting members with tire selection and purchases, performing proper tire installation and repair, completing necessary documentation, and adhering to tire bay policies and procedures. The position emphasizes delivering service excellence, maintaining a safe and positive environment, and working collaboratively to achieve goals. Team members are expected to act with honesty and integrity, move with speed and agility, and innovate and adapt to changing needs. A key aspect of the role is understanding department performance and its impact on the business.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills required.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting members in the selection and purchase of tires, including verifying sizes for vehicles.
• Properly installing tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
• Properly repairing tires.
• Completing all tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Maintaining tire bay policies and procedures.
• Disposing of tires properly and ensuring propane tanks are filled per club policy.
• Maintaining a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
• Merchandising tire displays and automotive products.
• Providing knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
• Coordinating with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
• Maintaining an accurate and complete supply inventory.
• Understanding and appropriately utilizing available special-order tire programs.
• Complying with safety and cleanliness standards and properly utilizing tire bay equipment.
• Fills propane tanks as needed if certified per DOT requirements.
• Performing other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Carrying out job functions and responsibilities as assigned.
• Supporting the application of club policies, procedures and compliance.
