Tessera is seeking a Motivated and Hardworking Tire Repairer with a Positive/Professional attitude. This role involves the maintenance of military equipment, including performing mounting, balancing, rotation, inspection, repair, replacement, and servicing of tires and wheel assemblies on various types of vehicles and equipment. The position requires the ability to perform minor repairs, service and fuel transportation equipment, and inspect and repair brakes, suspension, wheels, hubs, and steering systems. The Tire Repairer will conduct thorough inspections of tires and related components, utilize specialized equipment for maintenance, and manage the loading, unloading, and inventory of tires, wheels, and equipment. Accurate record-keeping, vehicle cleaning, fluid level checks, and minor auto body work may also be required. The role demands the ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, and to maintain accurate maintenance records using computerized systems. Identifying and requesting necessary repair parts is also a key responsibility. The Tire Repairer will assist master mechanics on major repair jobs and perform preventative maintenance services. The position requires conducting pre-service, post-service, and operational inspections to ensure equipment is safe and serviceable, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Good judgment, flexibility, and sensitivity to changing situations are essential. The role also involves establishing and maintaining positive working relationships, providing courteous and professional customer service, and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. The ultimate goal is to support mission readiness by ensuring assigned vehicles and equipment are serviced, inspected, and returned to operational status in a timely manner.
