About The Position

The Driver-Repairer Tire Worker performs functions including driving and operating a pickup truck equipped with radio. The role involves responding to emergency calls for assistance, keeping the assigned vehicle serviced and loaded with tire and tube change and repair equipment and supplies, spare tires and tubes, etc. The majority of time is spent in the field changing and/or repairing flat and damaged tires and tubes. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.
• Hold valid state Driver's license.
• Two years of training and experience as tire repairer.
• An occupationally significant combination of spatial discrimination; eye-hand-foot coordination; manual dexterity, and physical stamina.

Responsibilities

• Spends majority of time in the field changing and/or repairing flat and damaged tires and tubes.
• Drives pickup truck equipped with radio.
• Responds to emergency calls for assistance.
• Keeps assigned vehicle serviced and loaded with tire and tube change and repair equipment and supplies, spare tires and tubes etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
