Job Description Job Summary: The Timeline Change Officer (TCO) serves as the real-time expert on all NASA payload planning-related information for the International Space Station. Assignments tend to be of moderate complexity, diversification or expense. Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined. Normally receives instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Coordinating with NASA control centers, International Partners, and NASA Payload Developers, the TCO bridges the gap between long range planning and execution of the plan on board by the crew. TCO team supports real-time operations seven days a week, twenty-four hours per day; in addition, short term planning operations are supported five days a week, eight hours per day.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 0-2 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen
  • Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the real-time expert on all NASA payload planning-related information for the International Space Station.
  • Coordinating with NASA control centers, International Partners, and NASA Payload Developers, the TCO bridges the gap between long range planning and execution of the plan on board by the crew.
  • Supports real-time operations seven days a week, twenty-four hours per day.
  • Supports short term planning operations five days a week, eight hours per day.
  • Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.
