The Timekeeper will monitor employee time and leave events and leave balances to ensure compliance with Citywide time and leave rules and regulations. This role involves final approval of various leave requests and other Timekeeping transactions requiring second-level approval. The Timekeeper will check for overtime, leaves, and other workflow items requiring second approval to ensure all pending requests are approved by the prescribed deadlines. They will also ensure weekly compliance regarding timesheet submissions for all employees. The position requires reviewing information from the Payroll Management System (PMS), CityTime, RMDS, and CHRMS. The Timekeeper will respond to and resolve employees' time and leave questions professionally and in a timely manner. Responsibilities include processing Timekeeping Supplemental transactions in CityTime to request supplemental paychecks for employees, working closely with payroll staff to review the biweekly 319 report for the release of paper checks, and updating/maintaining employee schedules, assignments, profiles, approver trees, and organization trees in CityTime. The role also involves processing MLAs for dedicated leaves and grants, enrolling new employees into the automated Timekeeping system (CityTime) and Data Collection Devices (DCD’s), and working collaboratively with Payroll and Personnel to implement solutions for day-to-day issues and project activities. Additionally, the Timekeeper will validate Last Day Worked/Last Day Paid (LDW/LDP) statements to facilitate registered leave processing and compensation for separated employees, including resignations, terminations, retirements, and seasonal balance payouts. They will audit the 1100 Report for reconciling outstanding timesheets and complete special projects as assigned.
