About The Position

Hale's Roofing is hiring an experienced Tile Roofing Foreman to lead residential and commercial tile crews throughout Northern Arizona. This role is focused on concrete and clay tile work, including new installations, re-roofs, lift-and-relay projects, underlayment replacement, and tile repair. This role is ideal for a productive, quality-focused foreman who knows tile systems inside and out, takes ownership of each project, leads crews effectively, and maintains a safe, clean, and professional jobsite. The Tile Roofing Foreman will oversee daily field operations, coordinate installers and labor crews, ensure work meets Hale's quality standards and manufacturer specifications, and keep projects moving efficiently. This is a full-time leadership position with strong earning potential for experienced tile foremen who consistently deliver quality work.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of tile roofing experience required
  • Foreman, superintendent, or crew leadership experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of concrete and clay tile systems, underlayment, and flashing details
  • Experience with lift-and-relay work strongly preferred
  • Ability to walk and work on tile roofs without causing breakage
  • Experience managing crews and maintaining production goals
  • Ability to read and understand scopes of work, job instructions, and project documentation
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Clean driving record preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • English/Spanish bilingual preferred
  • Ability to work full-time and occasional weekends based on project needs
  • Willingness to travel between projects within Hale's Northern Arizona service area
  • Comfortable working outdoors in Northern Arizona weather conditions
  • Ability to lift tile and roofing materials, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physical construction work as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage tile roofing crews on residential and commercial projects
  • Oversee tear-off, dry-in, and installation of concrete and clay tile roof systems
  • Manage lift-and-relay projects, including tile removal, stacking, salvage, underlayment replacement, and reset
  • Install and inspect underlayment systems, including two-ply, synthetic, and self-adhered products
  • Execute batten, direct-deck, mud-set, and foam-set installations based on project specification
  • Oversee flashing and detail work at valleys, pipe jacks, headwalls, sidewalls, chimneys, and skylights
  • Manage hip, ridge, rake, birdstop, mortar, and pointing work to a finished, weather-tight standard
  • Control tile breakage through proper loading, staging, walking, and cutting practices
  • Verify tile profile, color, and quantity against the order before the crew starts
  • Coordinate tile loading and roof-load distribution safely, including boom and conveyor deliveries
  • Source or match discontinued tile profiles and manage salvage inventory on repair work
  • Train and mentor installers on tile installation techniques, safety procedures, and quality expectations
  • Inspect work throughout each project to ensure it meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable building codes
  • Review and execute scopes of work, work orders, project plans, and installation instructions
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and jobsite needs
  • Maintain jobsite safety and ensure crews follow company safety requirements
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, building owners, project managers, and other project contacts
  • Submit production updates, job photos, reports, time records, and required project documentation
  • Identify and resolve field issues before they affect quality or project schedules
  • Keep projects on schedule and communicate delays or changes promptly
  • Ensure crews maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites
  • Protect customers' homes, landscaping, and property throughout the project
  • Support a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
  • Perform hands-on tile work when needed to support the crew and project
