About The Position

A & Associates is seeking a skilled Tile Installer / Tile Setter to install ceramic, porcelain, stone, and other tile materials on commercial and residential construction projects. The role involves preparing surfaces and substrates, applying waterproofing where required, setting and finishing tile, and maintaining quality, safety, and cleanliness on the jobsite. The position requires 2–5 years of professional tile installation experience. Pay depends on experience.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional tile installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of tile-setting materials and techniques.
• Ability to read basic construction drawings.
• Ability to use tile saws and hand tools.
• OSHA/jobsite safety awareness.
• Good attention to detail and quality.

• Experience with commercial or high-end residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings, layouts, and project specifications.
• Measure and prepare surfaces for tile installation.
• Install ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and other tile products.
• Prepare substrates and apply waterproofing where required.
• Set tile using thin-set, mortar, adhesive, and other approved materials.
• Cut and fit tile around corners, fixtures, drains, and openings.
• Install grout, caulking, and expansion joints.
• Maintain proper spacing, alignment, level, and slope.
• Identify and correct installation problems.
• Protect completed tile work from damage.
• Maintain tools and a clean, safe work area.
• Coordinate with the General Contractor and other trades.
