About The Position

TileImpact, Inc. is seeking a Tile Helper for a full-time position in the Bay Area, CA. This role is suitable for an Early Career to Developing Skilled Trade professional. TileImpact is a commercial tile subcontractor based in Fremont, specializing in projects such as senior living & medical facilities, dealerships, health clubs, and movie theaters since 2022. They emphasize clean work, timely payments, and organized job sites. The position offers hands-on training in commercial tile installation, jobsite systems, safety, and production. Employees will gain exposure to lean systems, organized workflows, and modern tools, with the opportunity to build a trade. TileImpact values hard work, critical thinking, asking questions, and process improvement.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the Bay Area
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work on your feet and knees
• Ability to start early; typical shift begins around 6:00 AM
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Basic comfort using a smartphone for Digital Timecard SOP App, Digital forms / basic field communication
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliable attendance and consistent follow-through

Nice To Haves

• Construction labor experience is a plus, but not required
• Able to follow direction, stay productive, and maintain a clean work area

Responsibilities

• Assist tile setters with layout, prep, installation, grouting, and cleanup
• Load, unload, move, and stage materials, tools, and equipment on job sites
• Prepare surfaces for tile installation
• Mix mortar, thinset, grout, and other installation materials
• Cut tile and assist with measuring and layout under supervision
• Install tile on floors, walls, and other surfaces if skill level allows
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe throughout the day
• Follow foreman and lead setter direction while maintaining strong pace and quality
• Use company systems for communication, timecards, and daily coordination
