About The Position

The TIG Welder performs welding operations, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, in a timely and orderly manner to meet company and customer specifications and standards. The role involves setting up and joining aluminum and/or steel parts according to shop routings, blueprints, work orders, or supervisor instructions. The welder also maintains welding equipment and the work area and supports the company’s quality, continuous improvement, and safety efforts.

Requirements

• Pass a welding test.
• Have 2–3 years of experience welding aluminum and steel using MIG, TIG, and stick processes.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to set up welding machines.
• Computer literate and familiar with measuring tools.
• High school education is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, assemble, align, secure, and clamp component parts with jigs and fixtures to tack or finish weld aluminum and/or steel parts according to shop routings.
• Work from blueprints and work orders or follow supervisor instructions.
• Set and adjust welding machines to achieve optimal welds and support quality assurance.
• Maintain welding guns properly.
• Keep machines, equipment, and the general work area clean.
• Support and participate in Morgan Olson’s PPS team efforts.
• Follow the Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, staying customer-focused, and supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Follow safety policies and practices, including behavioral-based safety, at all times.
• Perform other duties as required.
