Requirements

  • Proven experience in metal manufacturing, with specialized expertise in TIG welding techniques.
  • Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, joint designs, and appropriate filler metal selection.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed technical schematics and engineering drawings with accuracy.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail to consistently produce precise welds.
  • Unwavering commitment to workplace safety and full adherence to all occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while meeting strict deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid TIG welding certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality TIG welding operations on a variety of metal components to ensure dimensional precision and structural integrity.
  • Interpret and adhere to complex technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to execute detailed welding tasks accurately.
  • Prepare metal surfaces through comprehensive cleaning, grinding, and edge preparation prior to the welding process.
  • Inspect finished welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion, and perform necessary repairs to maintain quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by strictly following safety protocols and participating in regular equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production staff to optimize fabrication processes and resolve technical challenges.
  • Monitor the condition of welding equipment and inventory levels of consumables, promptly reporting any malfunctions or shortages.
