About The Position

APX is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented TIG and MIG Welder to support fabrication shop operations. The role involves welding and assembling metal components according to specifications and production needs. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, consistent in quality, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings and use calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing setting.
• Safety-focused approach and consistent work quality.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to complete welding tasks accurately.
• Perform TIG and MIG welding, primarily on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel sheet metal components.
• Use grinders to smooth welds and remove excess material or spatter while ensuring precision and quality.
