We are looking for a TIG Welder I who will be responsible for laying out, fitting, cutting, welds to fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, shelving, etc. by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school or related experience below.
  • Six months related experience and/or training equivalent; or 3 months internal Anthony welding training.
  • Quality – maintain rejection rate of xx units per x. (or FPY of XX%)
  • Productivity – support output of 80+ frames per 8 hour shift (1 welder)
  • Pass internal welding certification test.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic fabrication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
  • Understanding of 6S.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, including decimals and fractions. Uses simple formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications schedules, or wiring diagrams. Uses adjustable measuring instruments where interpretation is required.
  • Understanding of 6S
  • Ability to read and understand all job specifications
  • This job requires that weight be lifted, pushed, pulled, or forced one third (1/3) to two thirds (2/3) of the time, up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk and/or sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to reach with arms and hands; bend, kneel, crouch and/or crawl as well as the ability to see and hear.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Team oriented individual who is flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Cuts aluminum or plastic into various lengths according to work order. May use various tools such as radial saw and miter saw.
  • Deburr aluminum using electric sander.
  • Shapes edges of aluminum according to work order specifications using a punch press.
  • Punches holes on plastic or aluminum according to specification on work order using various punch presses.
  • Ability to TIG and MIG weld thin aluminum extrusions.
  • Ensures work area is maintained in an orderly and safe manner per company procedures.
  • Read and interpret work orders, documents, drawings, and procedures.
  • Develop prototype samples as needed to support engineering projects.
