About The Position
The RSI Group (SmartCap) is the leading manufacturer, supplier, and seller of pickup truck caps and associated accessories in more than 30 countries globally. RSI’s flagship, patented product is the SmartCap®, the world’s first flat-packable truck cap system, made of durable stainless steel and capable of customization to fit every customer’s specific interests and needs. We are seeking a TIG Welder to join our production team. This position is responsible for performing TIG welding operations to assemble stainless steel components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality parts production, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The TIG Welder plays a key role in maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards while contributing to our culture of teamwork and innovation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience in manufacturing or metalworking environment
- Completion of a welding certification or technical school program
- Basic understanding of TIG welding, metal fabrication, or blueprint reading
Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and operation of TIG welding machines and tools
- Perform TIG welds following supervisor instructions, blueprints, or work orders
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all company safety rules and manufacturing procedures
- Support process improvements and product quality initiatives
- Perform additional work-related duties as assigned
