Lake Air Products is seeking a 1st shift Welder for their Vadnais Heights, MN location. This is a great opportunity for someone with TIG welding experience who enjoys hands-on work. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld
Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission
Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements

Nice To Haves

Hand laser welding experience preferred

Responsibilities

Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler
Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance
Develops templates or tooling and other work aids to hold and align parts.
Determines required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
Examining finished products and spare parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.
Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using measuring instruments
Welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, laser hand welding, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs
