About The Position

Kiewit is hiring experienced Tig B-Pressure Hand Welders for the Woodfibre project located in Squamish, BC. The Woodfibre LNG project will be the world’s first net-zero LNG export facility, setting up a new global standard for sustainability in the energy industry.

Requirements

• Valid Journeyperson Red Seal Welding ticket
• Valid Class A Pressure Welding Ticket for BC (or willingness to obtain BC registration if holding an equivalent ticket from another province)
• 5+ years’ experience with tig (GTAW) welding stainless steel and carbon
• 3+ years’ experience with stick (SMAW) hand welding
• Must be able to pass a SureHire Drug, Alcohol, & 50lb Fitness to work test upon offer.
• Must pass weld tests through CLAC – stainless tig, carbon tig, carbon stick.

Nice To Haves

• RMD experience is an asset but will train
• Accepting DSPs

Responsibilities

• Perform Tig (GTAW) welding on stainless steel and carbon steel.
• Perform stick (SMAW) hand welding.
• Pass weld tests through CLAC – stainless tig, carbon tig, carbon stick.
• Potentially utilize RMD welding techniques (training available).

Benefits

• Wage: $54.00 for B-Pressure Tig Welders
• If DSP: $72.84
• Additional site premiums available upon successful completion of 30 DI using RMD and completion of 50 DI with no repairs.
