About The Position

Kiewit is hiring experienced Tig B-Pressure Rig Welders for the Woodfibre project located in Squamish, BC. The Woodfibre LNG project will be the world’s first net-zero LNG export facility, setting up a new global standard for sustainability in the energy industry.

Requirements

• Valid Journeyperson Red Seal Welding Certification
• Valid BC Class A Pressure Welding Ticket
• WorkSafeBC Clearance Letter
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract
• Willingness to obtain BC registration if holding an equivalent out-of-province ticket
• Minimum 5+ years TIG (GTAW) experience on stainless steel and carbon steel
• Minimum 3+ years SMAW (Stick) hand welding experience
• Ability to pass required CLAC weld tests: Stainless TIG, Carbon TIG, Carbon Stick
• Ability to pass a SureHire Drug, Alcohol, & 50lb Fitness to work test upon offer.

Nice To Haves

• RMD experience is considered an asset (training provided if required)

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel and carbon steel.
• Perform SMAW (Stick) hand welding.
• Pass required CLAC weld tests: Stainless TIG, Carbon TIG, Carbon Stick.
