About The Position

We are seeking a Tier II Systems Engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and values meaningful interactions with both clients and internal teams. As a Tier II Systems Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our technology infrastructure. This position offers opportunities for professionals at different stages of their careers. You'll work alongside cross-functional teams, participate in IT projects, and ensure the smooth operation of our technology systems. This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM) based at our office in Louisville, KY. The physical environment requires frequent indoor work, but the work location may vary between office, warehouse, and other locations. Occasional outdoor work may also be required.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for staying up to date with the latest IT trends and technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, etc.), depending on the role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and assist with general inquiries.
  • Monitor network and system performance and respond to alerts.
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware, software, and network configurations.
  • Assist with basic hardware installations, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Assist in software installations, updates, and patches.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance IT knowledge and skills.
  • Manage and configure network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Administer and maintain server infrastructure, including hardware, virtualization, and operating systems.
  • Assist in implementing security protocols, such as firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection.
  • Manage data backup and recovery solutions.
  • Collaborate on IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure expansion.
