About The Position

The Astros Golf Foundation, host organization of the Texas Children’s Houston Open, is seeking a Ticket Services Intern to support their ticketing and credentialing programs. This role involves working with the Ticketmaster and Manifest platforms to ensure a seamless tournament experience for guests, partners, and participants. The internship will also provide support for other events produced by the Astros Golf Foundation. The selected individual must be detail-oriented, professional, and capable of handling sensitive information. This candidate will work directly with the Tournament Coordinator and collaboratively with other departments such as Operations, Volunteers, Sponsorship, Revenue, and Retail.

Requirements

  • At least Junior level college/university student or graduate student enrolled in a related field (Sports Management, PGA Management, Hospitality, Business Management) between January & May.
  • Reside or willing to relocate to/near the Houston, Texas area from January 4-May 5, 2027, at your own expense.
  • Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to commute to Memorial Park Golf Course office and to offsite locations.
  • Must have a desire to gain experience in a professional sports and entertainment environment.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills that complement a proactive, solution-driven, team-oriented work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
  • Comfortable making phone calls and meeting with clients/vendors.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) and internet software.
  • Ability to maintain discretion concerning confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of golf and golf events is not a requirement but a plus.
  • Experience with Archtics is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the fulfillment of sponsor ticket packages using Ticketmaster software and account manager platform.
  • Process ticket/credentialing requests from vendors, sponsors, and PGA Tour Players.
  • Help manage the production of credentials for the event.
  • Provide support and instruction to clients requiring assistance with their electronic tickets.
  • Support admissions and hospitality committees with ticketing equipment, troubleshooting, and training.
  • Manage one of the four entry gates during tournament week.
  • Assist Ticketmaster representatives with on-course set up prior to tournament and any needs during tournament week.
  • Assist player services committee with player and caddie check-in Monday and Tuesday of tournament week.
  • Assist team with post-tournament needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
