About The Position

The Ticket Seller is responsible for courteously interacting with the public, accurately issuing tickets, accepting payments, and providing information about events. This role requires maintaining a professional demeanor, adhering to policies, and assisting customers with various ticketing needs. The Ticket Seller must be able to work independently, handle inquiries, and balance their cash drawer accurately at the end of each shift.

Requirements

  • Ability to courteously interact with the public face to face.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-year Prior cash handling experience.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge helpful.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to work as a team.
  • Must be able to interact successfully with all coworkers and the public.
  • Must be able to speak fluent English and communicate clearly with staff & workers.
  • Must be able to work assigned shifts including nights, weekends & holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment and initiative.
  • Ability to follow all oral and written instructions including all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations and emergency procedures established at the facility.
  • Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, carrying up to 25 pounds, moving, climbing, walking and able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Must have sufficient math ability and knowledge to accurately always count and handle money.
  • Must have basic working knowledge of cash handling procedure.

Responsibilities

  • Open and/or close ticket window as required.
  • Accurately issue tickets purchased by patrons; accept payment and make change accurately.
  • Maintain accurate accounting for ticket revenue.
  • Maintain a cash drawer.
  • Provide information to the public regarding tickets and facility events.
  • Direct ticketing issues to the Box Office Manager/Director of Finance.
  • Maintain a professional and polite relationship with co-workers, clients, and the public.
  • Maintain an organized work area in a professional, neat, and clean manner.
  • Adhere to Box Office policy and procedures.
  • Assist customers with Will Call tickets for events.
  • Provide accurate answers concerning events, tickets, and schedules of upcoming events in person or on the telephone.
  • Balance cash and card drawer with manager at the end of each shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
