Syracuse Athletics and Legends have formed a 10-year partnership to integrate data and analytics, marketing, annual giving, premium seating, and ticket sales into a revenue-driven approach. Legends will manage the 'Cuse Athletics Fund annual fundraising program, utilizing a platform that enhances philanthropic giving. This partnership also aims to support student-athletes academically and athletically, and provide educational, mentorship, and career opportunities through Syracuse University’s Falk College of Sport. The Ticket Sales Representative role is crucial for driving revenue and achieving sales goals for Syracuse Athletics' season, group, and premium ticket packages. This position requires a self-motivated and positive professional who will report to the Director, Sales & Annual Fundraising.

Requirements

  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional image and positive attitude.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for general athletic ticket inquiries that come in through inbound phone calls, email, and social media.
  • Set and conduct in stadium, arena and out of the office sales appointments.
  • Effectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.
  • Reach and exceed individual and team sales revenue goals.
  • Ability to learn and master software programs including Salesforce CRM and Ticketing platform.
  • Ability to handle heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails.
  • Candidate should possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the best.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communicate with C-level clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Candidate must have a strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in sales or sports industry experience.
  • Ability to generate new business from companies and individuals not currently supporting Syracuse Athletics.
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills a must.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining organized, efficient and calm under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines independently.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Offering a full menu of seating opportunities for Syracuse Football, Men’s Basketball, and Women’s Basketball ticket packages.
  • Coordinating and executing sales calls on all potential customers through provided leads, prospecting, cold calling, and referrals from current customers.
  • Effectively using Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.
  • Participating and contributing in weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Working in conjunction with Syracuse Athletic Department and Ticketing staff to promote and generate sales on all events while providing a great fan experience.
  • Assisting with any administrative ticket functions.
  • Assisting with any special projects or duties as assigned by Director, Sales & Annual Fundraising.
  • Setting and conducting in-arena and out-of-office appointments.
  • Working non-traditional hours, weekends, events, and game days.
  • Being accountable for certain levels of activity (calls made/appointments set) and goals.
  • Managing and stewarding existing season ticket members.
  • Prospecting and cultivating new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as following up on leads provided by the partner organization.
