About The Position

The Ticket Office at Steamboat Ski & Resort is hiring for its winter operations. We are hiring Full and Part time positions. If you have at least one year of customer service experience and can maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment, please apply! This is an hourly, non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour laws. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

Requirements

  • 2 years of previous work history/education required
  • Minimum of 1 year customer service experience required
  • Prior cash handling experience preferred
  • Must have greater than average computer proficiency, strong computer and keyboards skills
  • Must be neat, accurate, well organized
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must enjoy working with the public and have excellent customer service skills
  • Maintain a positive/friendly attitude often under stressful conditions with both co-workers and guests
  • Flexible, take initiative and work successfully in a team environment
  • Adhere to all safety policies
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s Service Excellence standards
  • Must be minimum 18 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell a variety of resort products and services, including, but not limited to, lift tickets, season passes, SnowSports School programs, and Mountain Camp offerings to guests both before arrival and during their resort experience.
  • Work in multiple guest-facing locations as assigned, including the Main Ticket Office, Sunset Happy Hour, and other designated sales and service locations.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining a professional, positive demeanor in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Create, manage, and fulfill advance orders while accurately processing sales transactions, exchanges, returns, and refunds.
  • Maintain accountability and accuracy for all daily transactional activities.
  • Support remote, mobile, and outdoor sales operations as business needs require.
  • Assist with administrative projects, operational initiatives, and other assigned departmental tasks.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as needed to support departmental and resort operations.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
