Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required in related fields of early childhood education, social work, or psychology
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience of working with children and families, specifically children ages birth to 5
Knowledge of trauma informed care, health issues of foster children, appropriate practices, effective teaching strategies, regulations, Community Care Licensing requirements, and DCFS
Ability to converse, read, write and/or translate in English and Spanish
Must meet requirements to be an approved driver including holding and maintaining current auto insurance, current California Driver’s License and DMV clearance required.

Responsibilities

Using established communication protocols and professional standards, assess behavioral concerns and act as a consultative resource and guide for family childcare providers in incorporating Trauma-Informed Care
Strengthen and support effective program implementation by collaborating with internal and external entities Emergency Child Care Program Team
Serve as a Trauma-Informed Care and program subject matter expert when participating in all relevant meetings and advance expertise through trainings
Adhere to all legal, ethical and contractual requirements regarding child welfare, confidentiality and record keeping CA mandated reporting laws (child, elder and dependent adult abuse/neglect)
