About The Position

Join our mission-driven team at the Norwescap Thrift Shop, a community-oriented thrift store where all sales revenue supports the Norwescap Food Bank. We offer a fun, boutique-like shopping experience while making a wide variety items available at great prices. We are seeking a Thrift Shop Manager to oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, volunteer recruitment, inventory management, customer service, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and a passion for community service.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in retail management required, preferably in a thrift store or similar environment
Experience in point of sale systems preferred
Must have access to personal, independent transportation

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Marketing and social media experience a plus

Responsibilities

Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, including opening, closing, arranging stock, taking deliveries, and managing customer sales.
Manage deposits and monitor sales revenue and store budget
Manage inventory levels, including receiving, sorting, pricing, and displaying merchandise
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers
Develop creative sales strategies, manage promotions, and plan community events
Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, donors, and partners
In conjunction with Marketing Department, develop and implement social media strategies to increase store visibility, engage with the community, and promote events and sales.
