About The Position

Intermountain Health is seeking a General Thoracic Surgeon to join their growing Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery program in Utah County. This role involves building and shaping a robust thoracic surgery program within an integrated health system. The surgeon will work alongside established cardiothoracic surgeons, leading the growth of advanced thoracic surgical services. This position is ideal for a surgeon interested in innovation, program development, collaboration, and impacting patient care. The role focuses exclusively on thoracic surgery with no cardiac call responsibilities and offers access to advanced minimally invasive and robotic surgical technology. There is strong APP support and collaboration with general surgery, gastroenterology, and multidisciplinary specialists. The primary practice location will be Utah Valley with occasional collaboration at Intermountain Medical Center.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Thoracic Surgeons
• Unrestricted UT license, or able to obtain
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
• DEA Registration schedules II-V
• Outstanding clinical skills
• Strong character and culture fit

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth of advanced thoracic surgical services.

• Provide strong APP support structure.
• Primarily practice at Utah Valley with occasional collaboration on complex cases at Intermountain Medical Center during program development.
