About The Position

Become a hospital employed Thoracic Surgeon for an independent and a nationally recognized hospital, Meritus Health. This position is nearly 100% thoracic focused with some pacemaker work. The right candidate will have a mix of clinic time and OR, immediate patient-volume, 1:3 call rotation, access to two (2) Da Vinci robots, and possibility of future teaching opportunities. Requirements

• Board Certified or Eligible in Thoracic Surgery
• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an accredited Thoracic Surgery residency program
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Maryland
• Experience with Da Vinci robotic surgery
• Ability to manage clinic and OR schedules
• Willingness to participate in call rotation

Nice To Haves

• Experience in pacemaker procedures
• Interest in teaching medical students and residents

Responsibilities

• Perform nearly 100% thoracic focused procedures with some pacemaker work.
• Balance clinic time and operating room responsibilities.
• Manage immediate patient volume.
• Participate in a 1:3 call rotation.
• Utilize two Da Vinci robots.
• Engage in future teaching opportunities.
