About The Position

Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)’s mission is to reduce extended enterprise risk at Vanguard. We protect Vanguard through our stewardship of the third-party risk lifecycle and enable strategic, risk informed decisions. As a Governance Specialist on the TPRM Strategy & Governance team, you will play a key role in advancing this mission by strengthening how third-party risks are identified, governed, and managed across Vanguard. Requirements

• Minimum of five years’ related work experience, with two years’ experience in risk management.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Ability to collaborate and engage with key program stakeholders.
• Demonstrated program and project management experience.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate degree preferred.
• Professional certification (CTPRP, CPA, CIA, CISI, CRISC, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Steward and evolve Vanguard’s Global TPRM Policy and associated standards.
• Develop enterprise risk metrics, dashboards, and reporting to create improved transparency and inform third-party risk reduction activities.
• Lead assurance initiatives to strengthen third‑party risk oversight, monitor compliance with TPRM policies and standards, and drive enterprise accountability.
• Support enterprise and departmental initiatives that advance the maturity, effectiveness, and sustainability of Vanguard’s global third-party risk program.
• Provide strategic risk advisory support for risk partners and divisional stakeholders, serving as a trusted thought partner for third-party risk.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
