About The Position

Stoneham Public Schools is seeking a Third Grade General Education Teacher. This role involves planning and providing appropriate learning experiences for students using the Stoneham Public School’s curriculum. The teacher will foster an environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students to ensure their success. Responsibilities include supervising students in various school-related settings, monitoring and evaluating student outcomes, and communicating effectively with students, parents, staff, and the community.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of education from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

Plan a program of study that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of students.
Create a classroom environment that promotes student involvement in the learning process and enables each student to achieve learning objectives.
Provide an instructional program to meet the needs of every student.
Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, communicating these objectives to students.
Plan and utilize instructional methods, resources, and evaluation techniques that motivate and enable each student to achieve learning objectives.
Take necessary safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Establish respectful relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and the community.
Appraise own effectiveness and demonstrate successful application of skills and information to increase effectiveness.
Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.
Perform other duties as required.
