In this role, you will play a key part in the Operation of our Thin Film deposition chambers, developing the skills required to become a Thin Film Coating technician. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN.

Requirements

Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Completion Post-Secondary in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing)
Proven ability to solve technical problems and make sound decisions
Highly motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude
Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience

Responsibilities

Operating vacuum coating machines for the application of single, multi-layer coatings
Inspecting and cleaning of optical components
Preparing, cleaning and loading of coating chambers
Performing metrology measurement, such as transmission, reflection and elipsometry
Collaborate with cross functional team including Engineering & perform R&D
Computer skills including Product Center, Outlook, Excel and Word
Hands on work that requires good hand dexterity and organized work habits
