Join our dynamic team and contribute to projects that have a meaningful impact across the globe. We have an immediate need for a Machine Operator to join our Thin Film Coating Department. In this role, you will play a key part in the Operation of our Thin Film deposition chambers, developing the skills required to become a Thin Film Coating technician. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN.

Requirements

  • Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion Post-Secondary in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing)
  • Proven ability to solve technical problems and make sound decisions
  • Highly motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience

Responsibilities

  • Operating vacuum coating machines for the application of single, multi-layer coatings
  • Inspecting and cleaning of optical components
  • Preparing, cleaning and loading of coating chambers
  • Performing metrology measurement, such as transmission, reflection and elipsometry
  • Collaborate with cross functional team including Engineering & perform R&D
  • Computer skills including Product Center, Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Hands on work that requires good hand dexterity and organized work habits
